Empowering Goa’s Kakis: An Exclusive Culinary Experience with The Local Beat Goa

An intimate afternoon celebrating native Goan food, community, and women’s empowerment through a thoughtfully curated cooking and dining experience led entirely by women.

Hosted by The Local Beat Goa, this special gathering brings together local kakis who will share the stories, traditions, and recipes that have shaped Goa’s food culture for generations.

This event also marks an important milestone for The Local Beat Goa following months of discovering and mentoring culinary talent across the state. Recently, 30 women received grants through Aspire For Her & SBI Foundation’s Sashakti EntrepreNaari initiative, including three kakis from the Local Beat community who were awarded ₹50,000 grants each.

This experience is the first step toward creating sustainable opportunities for these women to showcase their skills, build financial independence, and preserve local culinary heritage.
